Our Headstone Design Process
While we offer an excellent range of fundamental headstone designs as a starting point, our process is designed to allow you the freedom to create a completely customised tribute, maintaining respect for your cultural traditions and your unique requirements.
The Sanctuary Memorials team will guide and support you throughout each step of designing and creating a lasting Memorium that captures the essence of the person you want to honour.
We will start by listening to your vision for the headstone design. Then, our artist will draw your ideas and show them to you for approval. Once you are happy, we will pass the drawing to our expert stonemason.
Our stonemason will create your headstone, plaque, or other monument in 6-8 weeks. Then, our team can work with you to choose an installation date that fits in with your unveiling.
Bespoke Headstones Designed

However, we can guide you through the entire process from wherever you are—many clients contact us from overseas—and we have installation teams throughout New Zealand who can also help with further inscriptions and maintenance should the need arise.
