Cultural Requirements

The Sanctuary Memorials team has extensive experience working with people from a wide range of cultures and faiths. We always aim to respect cultural and religious boundaries, beliefs, and traditions, and we have worked with many Chinese and Asian families across New Zealand to provide headstones with beautiful inscriptions, artwork, and photographs.

Our artists and stonemasons work in-house at Sanctuary Memorials, allowing us to offer a more personalised service to all our customers. We predominantly work in marble and granite, and we assure accuracy for inscriptions across a range of languages.

While we offer a fundamental design range, we are open to collaborating with you to produce something special. There are no limits in regard to the style of your headstone, and if you have a particular design vision, we have the technical expertise to help you achieve it.

For those residing in Auckland, we have peaceful showrooms located in Otahuhu and East Tamaki, where you can visit to discuss all your requirements. However, we can also accommodate all your requests over the phone or via an internet chat – whichever suits you best.
