Our Headstone Design Process

While we offer a wide range of traditional and contemporary headstone styles to help guide your vision, our process is designed to give you complete freedom to personalise the final tribute.

Initial Consultation — Listening to Your Vision

Your journey begins with a conversation. During your consultation, our team takes the time to understand your ideas, cultural considerations, preferred materials, inscription wording, and any special design elements you would like included. We can meet in person at one of our Auckland showrooms or remotely via video consultation for families across New Zealand.

Professional Artwork & Concept Drafting

Once we understand your vision, our in-house artist will sketch a detailed concept for your headstone or plaque. This drawing helps you visualise the layout, shape, carvings, photo placement, and inscription. We revise the design as needed until you are completely satisfied.

Crafting Your Memorial (6–8 Weeks)

After final approval, your design is passed to our experienced stonemason. Using high-quality granite and premium materials, we begin the careful crafting process. This stage takes approximately 6–8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design.

Installation & Unveiling Preparation

Once the headstone is completed, we will coordinate an installation date that aligns with your family’s schedule or unveiling ceremony. Our installation partners ensure the memorial is securely and respectfully placed, whether in Auckland or anywhere across Aotearoa.
